Week 5: Peace

“Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it.” — Mahatma Gandhi

Hey there Reader,

I’ve been thinking about peace.

Not the kind of peace that requires everything around us to be quiet.

Because let’s be real — if we wait for the world, our work, our families, our responsibilities, and our circumstances to become perfectly calm before we experience peace, we may be waiting a very long time.

The peace I’ve been thinking about is different. It is the kind we create inside the noise.

The kind that comes from deciding what gets access to our energy.
The kind that comes from turning down the volume on things that do not deserve to control us.
The kind that comes from saying, “I can care deeply without carrying everything.”

That is not always easy.

Especially for leaders, parents, business owners, caregivers, helpers, and anyone who is used to being the person everyone counts on.

But peace is not the same as checking out.

Peace is choosing how we show up without letting chaos become our operating system.

And maybe that is what we are really yearning for. Not a life without responsibility.

But a life with more room to breathe.

Something to think about:
What is currently disturbing your peace that may not deserve as much access to you as it has been getting?

Take action:
This week, choose one boundary that protects your peace. It could be turning off notifications, not checking the news first thing in the morning, saying no, taking a quiet walk, or giving yourself five minutes before reacting.

Hit reply and tell me - What is one thing you are doing this week to protect your peace?

Coming next...we talk about WONDER.

All the love,
Maria
